Video and Imaging Solutions on PolarFire® FPGAs
This class will explain how to implement video and imaging solutions on Microchip’s PolarFire® FPGAs.
This class will explain how to implement video and imaging solutions on Microchip’s PolarFire® FPGAs. High-speed camera interface protocols such as MIPI CSI2, SLVS-EC and display protocols such as HDMI, MIPI DSI are introduced and their implementation on PolarFire® FPGA using peripherals and IPs is explained. The complete video pipeline starting from camera input to display output including the image signal processing IPs and the need for DDR frame buffers is explained in detail. The presentation will include advantages of using low-power FPGA for smart embedded vision applications. A demonstration of live video processing using a PolarFire® video kit and UART-based GUI will be also be provided.
