This class is for those who want to understand and visualize the concepts of Field Oriented Control for brushless DC motors also referred to as FOC. We will review the principles of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) and show how FOC enables efficient, noise free and improved control dynamics of such motors.

This session includes animated illustrations as well as graphical simulations and oscillogram demonstrations of the FOC algorithm using a real motor. After attending this class, you will have the basis to start working with the FOC algorithm on you next project.
